Selena gomez jokes about making bieber cry

Selena Gomez seems to be fully over her ex Justin Bieber, joking about the breakup on tonight's Late Show with David Letterman.



Gomez's last Late Show appearance came last year while she was still dating the teen heartthrob, so Letterman got an update on how Gomez has been coping.



After Gomez confirmed that she's not currently seeing anyone, Letterman joked that he made Bieber cry the last time the singer visited the show.



"Well then that makes two of us," Gomez quipped, earning a hearty applause break from the live audience.

Scientist wants to bring 24 animals back from extinction

On Friday at a National Geographic sponsored TEDx conference, scientists met in Washington, D.C. to discuss which animals we should bring back from extinction. They also discussed the how, why, and ethics of doing so.



They called it "de-extinction."







There are a few guidelines for which ancient species are considered, and sadly, dinosaurs are so long dead they aren't in the picture. Their DNA has long ago degraded, so researchers are fairly sure that Jurassic Park will never happen.







But there are plenty of other animals on the table. The list of candidates is actually pretty long, considering.







Here are the 24 animals they are hoping to one day resurrect.

"OZ" tops box office with $42.2 million

NEW YORK (AP) - "Oz the Great and Powerful" is living up to its name at the box office.



Walt Disney's 3-D blockbuster has led all films for the second week in a row, taking in $42.2 million according to studio estimates Sunday. Sam Raimi's prequel to the L. Frank Baum classic "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" also took in $46.6 million overseas, leading to a two-week worldwide total of $281.8 million.



That makes "Oz" easily the biggest hit of 2013 so far.



Among the weekend's debuts, the Halle Berry thriller "The Call" far exceeded expectations with a $17.1 million opening for Sony. The Steve Carell magician comedy "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" fared worse, opening with $10.3 million for Warner Bros.

Kim kardashian embraces her baby bump for big screen debut

Kim Kardashian made a chic arrival at the premiere of Tyler Perry's Temptation in Atlanta yesterday. The film will mark her first big role in a motion picture, which also costars Vanessa Williams and Brandy Norwood. Kim dressed up her baby bump in a custom made black lace top and textured Kardashian Kollection leggings as she opened up about her pregnancy on the red carpet. She said, "Being pregnant is not as easy as my sister made it look or my mom made it look. It's a little more painful. I've gotten sick a couple times." Kim reportedly suffered a miscarriage scare last week and was ordered by a doctor to rest up.
